If you’re a chocolate lover like me, you’ll love these rich dark chocolate truffles with none of ‘the bad stuff’.
There are a lot of different recipes around at the moment online for bliss balls or truffles. The great thing about them is that you can experiment with different ingredients depending on what you like and what you have in your pantry. You can also substitute ingredients for healthier versions to make a guilt free treat. Here’s a recipe below that was shared with me from my husbands aunty, adapted from mayihavethatrecipe.com. I made them today with Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate and they were delicious.
Melt 1 cup broken chocolate bar or 1 cup chocolate chips or cacao nibs
Stir in 2 tbsp crushed almonds or almond butter,
1/2 cup chia seeds, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, 1 cup mixed dried fruit (e.g. chopped dried apricots and sultanas) 1/4 cup chopped ginger (optional).
Fold in 1/2 cup unsweetened yoghurt.
Roll into balls and cover with coconut or cocoa powder.
Refrigerate to set.
